Tasting review: Original & Cacao

I purchased two kinds of dough, original and cacao, and the standard custard cream.
The total price was 572 yen (tax included).

  • The original dough was fluffy and aromatic, with a crispy caramelized outside.
  • The cacao dough has a strong bitterness, which I personally prefer.

The cream is the star of the show!

The custard cream is rich, yet not too sweet.
It is light and fluffy, yet rich and full-bodied,
It was at a level that made me think, "It would be delicious even if I just ate the cream.

In fact, only about 30% of the cream was used for each doughnut,
The rest I took home and enjoyed dipping into prits or cookies.
I would rather buy the cream by itself.

Great for eating in the park or as a souvenir!

Right in front of the store is "Chatan Park," where there are many benches and on sunny days, many people take out and eat on the spot.

They wrap it up tightly with a paper bag and free refrigerant, so it was perfect for souvenirs or home sweets.

Information on crowds and estimated visiting times

We visited on a Sunday around 3pm.
It was peak time, but there were only about 5 people in line.
The purchase went smoother than I had expected.

I have the impression that it is relatively quiet among the "I'm donut?
If you go in the morning or afternoon, you can choose from a limited selection of creams.

Summary of impressions

  • The cacao dough has a strong and mature flavor.
  • The custard is rich and has a moderate sweetness, making it "the star of the show" on its own.
  • The careful packaging makes it a good souvenir.
  • The line is small and you can buy it even at 3pm on some days.

👉Next time, I want to try pistachio or raspberry cream!
