EIGHT COFFEE

Located near Aoyama-itchome and Gaienmae Stations in Tokyo.
Located along a green street, EIGHT COFFEE Aoyama-itchome is a coffee stand where you can enjoy a real cup of coffee in the morning.

A popular coffee stand established by brothers

EIGHT COFFEE was opened in 2014 by brothers Shingo and Senri Oba.
The name "Eight" comes from the fact that it opens at 8:00 a.m., but it is now open from 7:00 a.m. on weekdays, making it a great place for a cup of coffee before work.

After graduating from high school, Shingo worked at a ramen restaurant for 10 years.
He decided that he wanted to open his own store, and since he loved coffee, he invited his brother, who was working at a select store, to join him in opening this store.

Atmosphere of the store and seating information

Upon entering the store, you will find a woody and warm interior.
There are stand seats in the front and long bench seats in the back to the right, creating a calm and relaxing atmosphere.

There is a window at the back of the store that looks out onto greenery, providing a bit of a relaxing atmosphere in the city.
On this day, a young female barista was running the operation by herself, and the service was attentive.

I drank a "Cafe Latte" from the signature menu.

Eight Coffee's recommendation is, of course, the Cafe Latte.
On this day, I had a hot latte (400 yen).

  • The store's stamp on the paper cup.
  • When you open the lid, you will see a cute latte art-like pattern.
  • The milk is slightly high in temperature, but has a heavy steamy taste.
  • The taste is milky, but the sharpness and acidity of the coffee shines through.

What was particularly impressive was the balance of fruity acidity and firm bitterness.
The aroma and flavor are eye-opening from the first sip, making it a truly "authentic" cup.

Handmade cookies are baked in the store!

On this day, we ordered only drinks, but there were cookies baked in the store lined up next to the cash register.
They are large and thick looking, and I would definitely like to try them next time.

*There was no light meal menu, and the only snacks offered were cookies.

Accessibility and Payment Methods

  • Wheelchair-accessible
  • Cashless payment accepted, including credit card, transportation IC, PayPay, Rakuten Pay, etc.
