Harajuku Gyozaro
If you are looking for a cheap and delicious lunch in the Harajuku/Omotesando area, Harajuku Gyozaro is definitely the place to go.
This time, we tried their weekday lunch set and would like to report on the charm of this restaurant!

What kind of restaurant is Harajuku Gyoza Ro? 〜Harajuku Gyoza Ro is a famous gyoza restaurant loved by foreigners.
Harajuku Gyoza-ro is a long-established gyoza specialty restaurant that has been loved in Harajuku since the early 2000s.
Located along Meiji-dori in Harajuku, it offers authentic gyoza at a reasonable price, despite being in a trendy area.

In addition to tourists and locals, the restaurant is popular among foreign tourists and is always bustling with customers. An English menu is also available to meet inbound demand.

We ordered the weekday-only "Gyoza Lunch Set
We had the weekday lunch set, which includes 6 gyoza, meat sprouts, rice and soup for 790 yen.

I was also pleased to be able to choose whether or not I wanted chives and garlic in my gyoza.
I chose the "with chives and garlic" option, which has a strong flavor!
First, we started with the meat and bean sprouts.

The meat bean sprouts that arrived first were simple but exquisitely seasoned.
The crispy bean sprouts and flavorful minced meat are a perfect match, and I couldn't stop eating my white rice!
This is too good to be wasted as a starter for gyoza.

The grilled gyoza, the signature dish, is hot and exquisite!
Then came the main dish, gyoza!
One of the pleasures of sitting at the counter is the "live" experience of watching the staff grilling the gyoza right in front of you.

The skin is crispy and fragrant, and the inside is juicy and full of juice.
The garlic gives it a punch, and it is so perfect that it tastes great without sauce.

This is truly a classic gyoza that you will never get tired of!
Inside the restaurant: Retro and relaxed atmosphere, even for a woman alone
The slightly retro and tasteful interior of the restaurant is a nostalgic and relaxing space.
On this particular day, we were seated at the counter, and the atmosphere is very comfortable for a woman to come in alone.

Looking around, I noticed that about 2/3 of the customers were foreign tourists. The restaurant was crowded with a wide variety of customers, including families with children and couples.

Even if there is a line, the turnover is quick and you can get in right away!
Even during weekday lunch time, there were about 5 people in line, but the restaurant's turnover is just so fast!
We were ushered in right away and had no stress about waiting in line.

Next time I want to try the a la carte!
I was very satisfied with this lunch set, but next time I would definitely like to try the a la carte items such as sui-gyoza and shiso gyoza.
They also have alcoholic beverages, so it would be nice to have a glass of beer with gyoza in the evening!
