WAGASHIYA HARAJUKU KOTOBUKI

Right next to Harajuku Station, yet as relaxing as a countryside coffee shop, the name is "Wagashiya Harajuku Kotobuki". It is a coffee shop that conveys the charm of Japan without resorting to flashy decorations or promotions.

It is so quiet that you would not believe it is near a train station. It is truly a "Harajuku hideaway cafe.
This Japanese-style cafe is located about a 2-minute walk from Harajuku Station, yet it is tucked away in a quiet basement. Even though the surrounding area is filled with tourists, once you enter the cafe, you will find a quiet and serene space.

I visited around 5:00 p.m. on a Sunday. While all the other cafes in Harajuku were packed, I was able to spend a relaxing time here. This is the kind of place you want to stop by when you are tired of the hustle and bustle of the city.
Menu

I ordered a set of dorayaki and green tea (900 yen).
On this day, I ordered the "Dorayaki and Green Tea Set (900 yen).
The matcha has an authentic flavor without sweetness, and goes perfectly with the firm sweetness of the dorayaki.
The dorayaki is branded with "Harajuku" and looks cute and photo-worthy.

The plates, tea utensils, and other Japanese tableware are also lovely, and you can feel the Japanese flavor in the smallest details.
Both the dorayaki and matcha have a natural taste that is not too assertive, and is very comforting and calming.

Souvenirs are also available. But this is a place you want to go "for yourself.

You can buy Japanese sweets as souvenirs in the store, but for me, I prefer to visit the store for myself rather than for someone else.
Just sipping matcha in a quiet space, I feel as if my mind is being set in order.

Why is it never crowded? The reason is "underground + unobtrusive presence.

Perhaps it is because of its difficult to find location in the basement, and its quiet appearance that has not been loudly promoted on social networking sites.
It is truly a spot that "only those in the know know" and "they really don't want to tell you about".

Summary|A precious place to experience tranquility in the middle of the city
Harajuku has an image of being crowded with young people and tourists, but Wagashiya Harajuku Kotobuki is the exact opposite.
Itis a coffee shop where you can experience the beauty of "quiet Japan" without excesses.

- Those who are looking for a relaxing cafe in Harajuku
- For those who love Japanese sweets
- City dwellers who want to take a break from the hustle and bustle
We heartily recommend this Harajuku hideaway Japanese-style cafe to such people.
