Loewe Crafted World Exhibition: The World Spun by Crafts
Until May 11, 2025] I recently visited the Loewe exhibition event "Loewe Crafted World: The World of Crafts" currently being held in Harajuku!
This exhibition, a fusion of fashion, art, and the world of Ghibli, is truly a one-of-a-kind experience.
And to be able to enjoy it for free with an advance reservation on line...there is no reason not to go!

Visited on Sunday at 3pm! How crowded is it and how long does it take?
I visited on Sunday around 3pm.
I passed by the event site, learned about the event, and was able to make a reservation on the spot on the official line to enter. I may have been lucky.
The venue was moderately crowded and although it was during a popular time of the day, entry was smooth thanks to the on line reservation system.

The time required is about 40 minutes to 1 hour to take a good look at the exhibition. It is nice to know that photography is allowed. (Video recording is not allowed.)
Photography is OK! But your phone will be charged on the way...!
The exhibition is open for photography, and there are many exhibits that look great on social networking sites!
But... unfortunately, my phone ran out of charge about halfway through the exhibition, and I was unable to take photos of the second half of the exhibition.
Especially in the second half, there were fantastic exhibits filled with the world of Ghibli, which I loved...so it was really frustrating!
If you are going to go in the future, please bring your phone fully charged & mobile battery!
Highlights: Loewe x Craft x Ghibli worldview
In this exhibition, Loewe's pursuit of craft aesthetics and respect for Japanese culture are fused together.
The worldview is reminiscent of "My Neighbor Totoro" and "Spirited Away," giving visitors an immersive experience as if they had stepped into the story.
The exhibition space is spacious, and the three-dimensional works hanging from the ceiling and delicate leather artwork are a sight to behold.

The venue is conveniently located about a 5-minute walk from Harajuku and Meiji-jingumae stations. It is a distance where you can stop by in between shopping.

The Loewe x Ghibli world-view exhibition currently being held in Harajuku is an event recommended not only for fashion and art lovers, but also for Ghibli fans.
It is a very worthwhile exhibition and well worth a visit! It is recommended to make a reservation as early as possible as it is expected to be crowded during the GW period!
