A "spicy ramen specialty store" appears in the middle of Harajuku!
On June 10, 2025, a "spicy ramen POPUP store" will open in a corner of Takeshita-dori in Harajuku, where you can enjoy the whole world of spicy ramen! Bungsik" is a term used to describe light meals made from flour, and in Korea, it refers to the popular food stands that serve ramen, kimbap, toppogi, etc. The "Bungsik" store will be open from June 10 (Tue.) to June 11 (Sat.).
The opening event will be held from June 10 (Tue) to 15 (Sun)!
The highlight of the event is the much talked about "Hangang Ramen Experience. The centerpiece of the event will be the much talked-about "Hangang Ramen Experience," where visitors can try their hand at cooking "spicy ramen" in one of the 30,000 automatic ramen cooking machines in use at convenience stores and restaurants in South Korea.
This POPUP is a café specializing in ramen that recreates such Korean food culture.

I visited on Wednesday, June 12, after 12:00 noon.
There is a female staff with a plate with a QR code in front of the restaurant, which you can read with your smartphone to access the application form on line.
I went on a first-come, first-served basis on the day.
There are two admission methods
(1) June 10 (Tue.) - 12 (Thu.): 250 groups of 500 people/day on a first-come, first-served basis
(2) June 13 (Fri.) - 15 (Sun.): 200 groups of 400 people/day by advance reservation (by lottery) + 50 groups of 100 people/day on a first-come, first-served basis on the day of the exhibition
*This in-store QR code is only valid within 500m of the store and must be read on-site!
Please note that the reservation slots fill up quickly in the evening and later in the day, with hourly time slots available! I made a reservation for the 6:00 p.m. slot and entered the store a little past 6:00 p.m..
The "End for today" sign was already up, but I was able to get in just in time with about 10 other people in line.
The experience started on the second floor! Quiz, photo spot, and even automatic cooking!
Once guided to the second floor, we first received a "photo card" and a pencil, and then it was time to take pictures and fill out the form.

In addition, visitors who answer three questions about spicy ramen correctly can try their hand at making their own original ramen.

- Soup flavor: Original / thick milk / kimchi / black / spicy chicken / yakisoba-style
- Toppings: green onion, egg, wiener, cheese, garlic, butter, etc. (up to 3)

After breaking the bag of noodles into paper cups and adding the toppings, put them into the automatic cooking machine.
When the button is pressed, hot water is poured in and the bottom of the cup heats up, creating a fun, almost experimental sensation!
During the process, a raw egg is thrown in, and you wait while stirring in a circular motion with the disposable chopsticks.
Easy even for one person! Eating ramen in a stand-up style
Once the ramen is finished, you can eat it at a table with a spicy ramen pattern. By the way, you can also eat on the second floor and the rooftop, but since there is no special sign, everyone was eating on the second floor.
I came alone, but there were several other people who came alone, so I felt at ease.
The mild soup with more milk was delicious and I drank every last mouthful!
I got a "toomba" from a survey!
Lastly, if you fill out a survey using the Google form posted in the store, you will receive a bag of the hot new "spicy ramen Toowoomba"!
This is a great souvenir. It is really a great deal to be able to enjoy so much for free.
