SWEETBOX Takeshita-dori Store
At the popular crepe store "SWEETBOX" located right at the entrance of Takeshita-dori Avenue in Harajuku, we had an excellent crepe filled with vanilla gelato and kiwi cream.

In this article, along with a report on the experience, we will introduce the store's charm, ordering method, and popular menu items!

What is Harajuku SWEETBOX?
SWEET BOX on Takeshita-dori in Harajuku opened its first crepe stand in December 2004, followed by a second (larger) store near the current Takeshita-dori entrance in October 2015.

For nearly 20 years since 2004, the store has been loved for its handmade dough and special cream.

Today, the crepe store is located at the start of Takeshita-dori and is very popular among tourists and young locals alike.
The bright red sign is a landmark of the shop, and it is so popular that there are always customers coming in.

Crepes are baked on the spot.

I had the Gelato x Kiwi Crepe this time!
I chose the kiwi cream crepe with vanilla gelato.
The crepe dough, which is baked after each order, is crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside.
The crepe is then topped with cold gelato and fresh kiwi cream.
The contrast between the warm crepe batter and the cold ice cream is irresistible!

Check out the popular menu!
In front of the store, you can see the popularity ranking of crepes to help you choose.

The most popular crepe is the ice cream + cheesecake + fruit crepe!

There is also a summer-only menu!
Shaved ice is also available during the summer season. If you get tired of the heat on Takeshita-dori, the long, thin shape is perfect for eating and walking around, as it is hearty yet easy to hold.

Food menu, too!
Unusual food items such as ham and potato salad, pizza tuna, and potato gratin are also available.

You can also customize your order!
You can add anything you like for an extra 50 to 200 yen.

Glad to see they are open until late!
Many sweet stores in Harajuku close early, but SWEETBOX stays open relatively late, making it the perfect place to finish off your evening shopping or a stroll through Harajuku.

Many people buy it as a final reward for a night out on Takeshita-dori.
