Bat Bakery" directed by Hiroshi Fujiwara
Omotesando area café lovers will not want to miss this hot new spot.

Opening in December 2024 on the site of Omotesando's legendary "Montauk" cafe is V.A.CAFE (VAT BAKERY), a bakery-cafe directed by Hiroshi Fujiwara.

V.A. CAFE (VAT BAKERY)" carries on the memory of Montauk.
Located on the second floor of 6-1-9 Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, V.A.CAFE (VAT BAKERY) is situated in an easily accessible location from Omotesando Station, yet there is no conspicuous signage, and at first glance it is hard to tell what the store is about.

However, after climbing the stairs, you will find a surprisingly stylish space.

The first floor is a sales space for the apparel brand "JUN," and the second and third floors are café spaces, giving the store an atmosphere similar to an overseas concept store.

The stylish design by space producer Uichi Yamamoto shines through.

The cafe space consists of two floors.

The mezzanine floor is a warm and nostalgic space with chairs and tables taken over from the famous "Ace" cafe in Kanda, Tokyo.

The third floor, on the other hand, has a pop and sophisticated design based on red and white tones.

At the top of the staircase with cute tiles, red sofas and white tables are lined up, offering a panoramic view of Omotesando through the glass.

A variety of popular doughnuts and homemade breads!

The most popular item is the homemade fresh doughnut. On this day, I had the Cinnamon Sugar (463 yen + tax).

The fluffy dough topped with icing and crushed nuts looks and tastes great.

However, the donut slid around due to the incompatibility of the plate and the table.... I have to admit that it was a little difficult to cut with the plastic fork and knife provided. However, the taste is definitely delicious!

Other breads include cinnamon rolls, "nori toast," and many other variations, all of which are intriguing from the outside. Next time, I would like to try the cinnamon roll!
