Gwa Baekgi specialty store "BONTEMPS (봉땅)" Tokyo Harajuku
Do you know the popular Korean sweet " Kwabaegi (꽈배기)"? It is a twist-shaped doughnut popular in Korea. A store where you can enjoy such Korean trendy sweets in Japan has landed in Harajuku!

This time, we visited the Tokyo Harajuku branch of "BONTEMPS (봉땅 | 봉땅)", a store specializing in Korean Kwabaegi, and we will give you a full report on the popular menu items and the atmosphere inside the store.

What kind of restaurant is BONTEMPS?
BONTEMPS" is a doughnut and coffee specialty store that was established in Seoul, Korea in 2021.
It opened its first store in Japan in December 2023 in America-mura, Osaka, and finally landed in Harajuku, Tokyo!

The traditional Korean pastry, Kwabaegi, has been reworked in a modern way.
The authentic doughnuts are attracting a lot of attention for their SNS-worthy appearance and ingredients.

The trendy chocolate mint style Kwabaegi is also available!
From a distance, it looks completely chocolate mint! Actually, it's not chocolate mint (there is no mint in it).

But this is a " chocolate mint-like looking " sweet.
But! The balance of bread x cream x Oreo texture is so great that it makes you forget that visual fraud.

There was also a Dubai chocolate flavor!

And a Harajuku-only flavor!

🍩 Tried the No.1 popular menu! Strawberry Shortcake-Style Kwabegi
We ordered the limited-time-only "Shortcake" Kwabegi.

First, we asked the waitress for a recommendation and ordered the most popular "Shortcake-style Kwabaegi".
The generous amount of strawberry cream and fresh appearance made my heart skip a beat!

When I actually tried it, I was surprised to find that it was light and not greasy.
The sweetness is moderate, and the moistness of the dough and the softness of the cream are exquisite.

It was definitely one of the best doughnuts I have ever eaten.
The price is a little high, but it is worth it ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡ 🍹.

🍹 Featured Korean-style drink "Shine Muscat Aid
For a drink, we chose the Shine Muscat Aide (760 yen).
The refreshing appearance of the bright orange slices floating in the drink made us swoon.

There were small "bumps" in the middle of the slice, but were they pulp?
The refreshing acidity and the crunchy texture of the pulp made the drink enjoyable, and the orange slices floating in the glass were very photogenic.

At first I thought, "What is juice on a doughnut?" but I was surprised to find that they go surprisingly well together.

Next time, I would like to try the "Salted Cream Coffee," which is also popular in Korea.

🥐 Don't miss the morning-only morning set!
Limited to the hours of 10:00-12:00, the morning menu includes the classic Sugar (sugar quavegi) and Americano set for only 500 yen.

This is a great price in the Harajuku area. It is a perfect morning café when you pass by.

This restaurant is located near Takeshita-dori Avenue, but in a back alley, so it feels like a little bit of a hole in the wall.
When I visited on a weekday afternoon, there were no customers in front of me!

Since it was a weekday afternoon, the restaurant was relatively empty. Now might be a good chance to enjoy the quiet time.
