Sulbing Cafe Harajuku
We visited Sulbing Cafe Harajuku, a precious Korean cafe just a minute walk from Takeshita-dori in Harajuku, which is open even at night. I visited at around 7:30 p.m. on a national holiday. While I was looking for a night cafe, I suddenly found this place. From the outside, it looks compact, but once inside, you will find a spacious and warm wooden space with a stylish atmosphere typical of Korean cafes.

Sulbing is a very popular café brand from Korea, with more than 500 stores in the country. Its signature menu item is pince (빙수), a fluffy shaved ice in the Korean style.
It has become a hot topic in Japan, and the Harajuku store in particular is popular among tourists and young people. It is very valuable in the Harajuku area, where there are few cafes that stay open late.

After ordering, you can sit down at your favorite seat, self-service style. The restaurant is also equipped with free Wi-Fi, making it a perfect place to take a break or do a little work while sightseeing.
The solbin has a great impact with its mountain of kinako (soybean flour)! Hidden within it are plenty of soft rice cakes and nuts, offering different textures and layers of flavor with every spoonful.
The ice is fluffy and does not melt easily!
Solbin's shaved ice is a strange kind of ice that melts in your mouth, but does not melt easily. It is cold but not crunchy, and feels like snow in the mouth.
It is layered, with kinako (soybean flour) inside and plenty of sweet milk underneath. It is a luxurious dessert that you can enjoy until the very last bite.

One order per person is required, but it is recommended to share it as it is very generous. This time I enjoyed it alone, but it was so delicious that I finished it in no time!
I regretted that I had never come here before, and I became a fan after just one visit.

While there are few cafes in the Harajuku area that are open late at night, Seolbin Café is a precious spot to stop by after a day of shopping or sightseeing.
Surrounded by a relaxing wooden interior, the space offers a wide variety of Korean sweets and drinks. I would like to try something else on the menu next time! You will be glad you did.
