Ujien at Urasando Garden

Urasando Garden is tucked away in a back alley of Omotesando .
We visited Ujien's Urasando Garden branch, where youcan enjoy authentic matcha green tea sweets in this modern Japanese-style space renovated from an old private house.

Food court-style Japanese cafe space

The first floor of Urasando Garden is a food court-style space with five Japanese-style cafes lined up in a row, where you can order at your favorite restaurant and enjoy your meal at your favorite seat.

On sunny days, terrace seating is also available, allowing you to relax in the shade of the trees.

This time, I was curious about the freshly squeezed green tea Mont Blanc and decided to order it at Ujien.

Menu
The menu allows you to see the entire restaurant's menu at once.

Ujien's "Cold Matcha & Mont Blanc Set" was too good to pass up.

What we ordered was,
- Cold Matcha (ICE Green Tea)
- Matcha Mont Blanc
set (1,500 yen).

I chose ICE green tea after hesitating between a matcha latte and a drink from the menu.
I was surprised when I took a sip. The rich matcha aroma and slight sweetness were exquisite, and the aftertaste was refreshing.
The main course, mont blanc, was made with matcha cream squeezed on the spot, which was so rich and fragrant that it was hard to believe it was a sweet!

The interior of the store has a natural wood-based atmosphere with counter and table seating.
It is easy to come in alone, and seems to be popular among tourists, with two foreign customers on this day.
What is Urasando Garden? A "Japanese" collective facility renovated from an old private house built in 1947
