Long-established pizzeria loved in Milan for over 70 years
We visited PIZZERIA SPONTINI Cascade Harajuku near Harajuku Station. This much-talked-about restaurant opened in 2015 as the first overseas branch of a long-established pizzeria that has been loved in Milan for more than 70 years.
The main attraction is the extremely thick and fluffy pizza dough, about 3 cm thick, and plenty of mozzarella cheese! The gap in texture between crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside makes this pizza irresistible.
The restaurant is open and comfortable! An Italian fast food restaurant in Harajuku where you can work on your PC!
I visited around 5:00 p.m. on a weekday. After 6:00 p.m., it gradually became crowded, so the best time to visit may be between 4:00 and 5:00 p.m. (*Please note that 4:00-5:00 p.m. is break time).
The restaurant is spacious and has a stylish atmosphere like a foreign café. Free Wi-Fi was available, and I was able to work on my PC by connecting to the guest Wi-Fi, which does not require a PIN!

Total: 1,250 yen. It is quite a calorie bomb (lol), but it is fluffy & full of cheese and just delicious! The tomato sauce has a slightly sour taste, and the whole dish is well-balanced and not too tough, so you can finish it easily.
There is plenty of cheese all the way to the back, so it may be more of a cheese pizza than a "margherita". But that is also good!

The combo menu is full of volume and recommended for those who want to eat with gusto. We were also interested in the combo that allows you to have both lasagna and pizza!
