On October 24, 2025, "mofusand TOKYO" opened in Jingumae, Harajuku. This is the first permanent store where visitors can experience the world of "mofusand," a popular character created by illustrator Jyuuno.

This specialty store offers only the concept series.
The series will be changed several times a year, so customers can enjoy a new world view each time they visit the store!
The first concept is "COFFEE AND DONUTS!

mofusand, which has held a series of pop-ups in various locations throughout Japan, has finally set up a base in Harajuku, attracting the attention of fans.

Location and appearance of the store

The store is located in the Jingumae 3-chome area, a 5-minute walk from Harajuku and Meiji-jingumae stations, a short distance from Takeshita-dori Avenue. The second and third floors of the glass-walled building are decorated with objets d'art of cats, creating a world view from the outside. Only the first floor of the building is actually open to customers, and the upper floors are for display purposes. Even from the outside, it looks like a "little fluffy house" and is so cute that you can't help but want to take pictures.

Atmosphere inside the store

The theme is "COFFEE & DONUTS. The blue and pink-based interior is unified with soft colors, a doughnut-shaped logo on the ceiling, and cat's paw-shaped hooks on the wall. Tote bags can be hung from these cat's paw hooks, and the design allows them to be enjoyed as part of the interior. The lighting and fixtures are also unified in gold, creating an elegant and relaxed atmosphere with a touch of cuteness.

Crowded Conditions and Entry

On weekdays, the store is relatively slow, but on Saturdays and Sundays, there is always a line. The area in front of the cash register is especially crowded at times, and on weekends, admission may be restricted. Payment is cashless payment only (credit cards, e-money, and QR codes are supported), and cash is not accepted.

New items from the "COFFEE & DONUTS" series were released to coincide with the opening of the mofusand TOKYO Harajuku store. The design features cats stuck in a circle of doughnuts, and is adorable from any angle.

Mascot key holder (2,530 yen each)

One of mofusand TOKYO's most popular items is the "COFFEE AND DONUTS" mascot key ring, featuring cats that are completely enclosed in a circle of doughnuts. A total of six types are available, all with different expressions and coloring, each with its own unique personality.

Each key chain is priced at 2,530 yen (tax included), and up to three of each type may be purchased per account. Each key chain has a fluffy doughnut part and a soft cat shape, and when you hold it in your hand, it has a greater presence than you can imagine. The neat rows of key chains on the wall are a sight to behold, and you can enjoy a different atmosphere for each color.

The "Half Chocolate" and "Strawberry Cream" in particular tend to sell out early in the day, and are often sold out on weekends. Because they are lightweight and easy to decorate, and look cute on bags and pouches, they are also popular as gifts. The delicate designs by Jyuuno are reproduced in great detail, making this series a highly complete collection item.

All of them are unified by pastel colors and have attractive designs inspired by a donut shop. The lineup is easy to use in daily life and combines practicality and design.

Tableware & Sundries

There is a full lineup of mugs, plates, stickers, badges, and other small items. The ceramic plates depict a cat holding a donut, creating a café-like atmosphere. These items are neatly arranged in the center of the store, and just looking at them is a relaxing experience.

What was impressive about the store?

What particularly caught my eye was the display of cat's paw hooks lining the walls. Each hook has a slightly different shape, designed to look like a cat peeking out from the wall. The ceiling lights are also donut-shaped, creating a complete world view of the entire store. The staff is courteous, and photography is allowed as long as it is done in a respectful manner.

Impressions and Summary

mofusand TOKYO Harajuku is not just a character store, but a place where you can experience the world of mofusand itself. Although the store is small, it has been thoroughly designed to create a photo-worthy space wherever you look. In addition to standard goods such as plush toys and tote bags, seasonal designs are also expected to appear. It is a perfect place to stop by during a stroll in Harajuku on a holiday.
