The Artistic World of Chocolates from Barcelona in Omotesando

bubó BARCELONA is located behind the Louis Vuitton Omotesando store, a 5-minute walk from Omotesando Station.
This luxury chocolate brand was established in Barcelona, Spain in 2005, and the sweets created by its world-renowned chocolatiers are like works of art. With their jewel-like appearance and sophisticated taste, they satisfy all five senses.

The brand name comes from the Catalan word "Bo" (delicious), the "buvo" used by children to pronounce "bonbon," and the "B" of Barcelona.
Its unique ideas and playful spirit live on in both the taste and design.

Impression of actual visit

I visited the restaurant at around 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. There was no crowd, and the atmosphere was relaxed, with about 30% of the store occupied.
Passing through the chocolate store on the first floor and up the stairs at the back, you will find the café space with glass walls and bright red chairs. The space is spacious with plenty of room between seats, making it a relaxing place to spend time.

I ordered the cake and coffee set (1,800 yen). There are 18 types of drinks to choose from, with free refills of hot coffee, iced coffee, and iced Earl Grey.

I chose the Bubbo Chocolate Deluxe, a signature item on the menu. It is a rich dish made entirely of chocolate, and each bite is filled with the deep aroma of cacao.
Incidentally, this cake costs 1,200 yen to take out; 990 yen cakes and soft-serve ice cream (800 yen) are also available, and a special offer of 500 yen for soft-serve ice cream to go on Saturdays only is also attractive.

Fusion of Sophisticated Vessels and Sweets

bubó Omotesando's sweet plates use tableware from the "les trois collection" designed by world-renowned architect Kengo Kuma.
These environmentally friendly biomass resin tableware are made from TRANSWOOD, a new material made from thinned wood and waste cooking oil. The black gradation enhances sweets and is pleasing to the eye.

This tableware is manufactured by "hide k 1896," an environmentally conscious brand from Japan.
Under the slogan "PRODUCE & RECYCLE," the brand incorporates WABI contemporary aesthetics into its products, which are characterized by sustainable and beautiful designs.
