The second location of the popular Machida café “Muffin&Bowls cafe CUPS” opened in the Omotesando area on April 6, 2026. I visited “Muffin&Bowls cafe CUPS Omotesando,” a new-concept dessert café where you can enjoy freshly baked muffins and authentic shaved ice together.Another highlight is the interior design, which is highly popular among women for its combination of cuteness and the natural texture of the materials used.

Store Highlights

This new Omotesando location just opened in April 2026. As the second branch of the popular “Muffin&Bowls cafe CUPS” in Machida, it’s a spot where you can enjoy muffins and shaved ice together. The muffins are baked fresh every morning using domestic wheat and come in a wide variety of about 18 flavors. With options ranging from sweet to savory, the café is perfect not only for a visit but also for gifts or takeout.

The decor looks like something girls would love! It makes you want to take pictures♪
The green sofas and brass trim—it definitely has an elegant vibe.
A calm and relaxing atmosphere inside
A serene space featuring a combination of green velour-style sofas and rattan-style chairs. It’s popular with female customers, and you’ll often see groups of friends or people coming in alone. Since it’s completely non-smoking and has power outlets available, it’s the perfect spot to relax and unwind.

Freshly Baked Muffins Take Center Stage
The muffins, baked fresh every morning, come in a wide variety—ranging from savory options like edamame and corn cream cheese to dessert-style choices such as Royal Milk Tea, Chocolate Chip, and Rich Chocolate. There are also Omotesando-exclusive flavors like “Bacon and Corn Potage” and “Custard and Coconut Pineapple,” making it a joy to choose.

The drink menu, featuring Ronnefeldt tea and more, is also extensive
The tea uses leaves from the long-established brand “Ronnefeldt.” Menu boards make it easy to choose from options like Spring Darjeeling, Special Earl Grey, and Apple Crumble, complete with descriptions of caffeine content and flavors.Another great feature is the wide selection, ranging from coffee and lattes to herbal teas and floats.

Trying the authentic shaved ice!
The shaved ice menu focuses on monthly specials that highlight seasonal ingredients, featuring rich, cake-like combinations that leave you feeling satisfied. They also offer mini sizes, making it easy to order one alongside a muffin. This time, we tried the “Strawberry Tart ” (regular size: 2,200 yen) and the “Mango Anglaise ” (mini size: 1,980 yen).
They both look so delicious—it’s hard to choose! I’m so happy I got to try both ♡
With a monthly rotating menu, that gives you a reason to visit every season.

The “Strawberry Tart” features strawberry sauce and condensed milk that cling firmly to the shaved ice, with the custard cream on top providing a nice accent. Hidden inside is a strawberry confit with whole strawberries, and it was so delicious I finished it in no time.

The “Mango Anglaise” features an exquisite blend of fresh mango and milky shaved ice. With generous layers of sauce visible in the cross-section, I enjoyed every bite without getting bored. Warm black bean tea was available for refills, and it balanced perfectly with the sweet shaved ice.
Summary
With the opening of the popular Machida spot “Muffin & Bowls Cafe CUPS” in Omotesando, there’s now another place where you can enjoy freshly baked muffins and authentic shaved ice all at once. With its cute interior, seasonal shaved ice flavors, and extensive selection of muffins, it’s a place you’ll never get tired of visiting, no matter how many times you go.
