mofusand × Ultraman Collaboration
On July 10, 2026—“Ultraman Day” —“ULTRA MART TOKYO,” an experiential store directly operated by Tsuburaya Productions, held its grand opening in Harajuku.More than just a merchandise shop, this permanent store aims to become a new Harajuku landmark—one where people naturally say, “Let’s meet in front of Ultra Mart in Harajuku.”

The first theme to kick off the grand opening is “ULTRA CUTE.” Thanks to a collaboration with the popular character “mofusand,” the store is instantly filled with a cute atmosphere. I actually visited the store myself, so I’ll be reporting on the inside and the merchandise I’m excited about with plenty of photos.
Who would’ve thought Ultraman—celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2026—would team up with mofusand?! Harajuku’s new hotspot—you’ve just got to check it out!
Although it’s a permanent store, the displays apparently change regularly. This “CUTE” theme is for a limited time, so if you’re planning to go, it’s best to head there sooner rather than later.

Stepping into a futuristic space lined entirely with mirrors
The moment you step inside, you’re greeted by a space entirely covered in mirrors from floor to ceiling.Light, visuals, and even the silhouettes of passersby reflect off one another in layers, creating a mysterious sense of depth that seems to stretch on forever. True to the concept of blending the cosmic and futuristic imagery associated with Ultraman with Harajuku’s cutting-edge culture, photogenic elements were scattered throughout the space.

Towering in the center of the store is a gleaming silver Ultraman Tiga statue, approximately 3 meters tall. Serving as the store’s iconic symbol, it welcomes visitors and, thanks to its reflection in the mirrored surfaces, makes for the store’s premier photo spot—looking great no matter the angle.Seiya Matsumiya of Black Cat White Cat Music handled the sound direction for the spatial design, and the staff uniforms were designed by Masanori Morikawa of BASICKS, who drew inspiration from the uniforms of past Ultraman team members. You can really feel how every detail is unified within the Ultraman universe.

The “Ultra Nyan” series by mofusand × Ultraman is simply adorable
The highlight of this event is a collaboration with the character “mofusand,” created by illustrator Juno. “Kitties” dressed in Ultraman and Ultra Monster costumes fill the store’s displays. With characters like Barunyan Alien, Ultra Nyan, Nyan-Ton, and Pig Nyan, this lineup is sure to make fans of the original monsters smile.

Both Nyan-Ton and Pig-Nyan are just too cute! I just want to collect all the monster cats!
I get it, but some of the limited-edition merchandise is sold by lottery. Don’t rush to buy them all at once.

Store-exclusive “Kiramekko” collection and lottery sales
The keychain display case is lined with the “Kiramekko” series from mofusand × Ultraman. There are three types—Pignyan, Ultranyan, and Barunyann Alien—priced at 2,530 yen each (tax included), while the box set containing all three is 7,260 yen (tax included). Purchase limits are set at three individual items per person or one box set per person.

Of particular note is the store-exclusive Kiramekko item featuring “Ultraman Tiga,” which celebrates the 30th anniversary of its broadcast debut this year. This item is not available at the official mofusand merchandise store or online shop, making it a premium item exclusive to ULTRA MART TOKYO.A campaign was also underway offering a limited-quantity “mofusand × Ultraman Limited Edition Sticker” as a gift to customers who made a purchase in-store (while supplies last).

This Ultraman Tiga edition of Kiramekko was sold via a pre-registration lottery, with applications submitted through a digital ticket system linked to the official Ultraman LINE account. Since a poster announcing this was displayed in-store, we recommend that anyone considering a purchase check the official website or LINE account for the latest lottery schedule.

So the Tiga Kiramekko is a lottery… I hope I win~
It’s a limited-quantity lottery item, after all. Just lining up doesn’t guarantee you’ll be able to buy one. The surest way is to enter the lottery via LINE in advance.
A Wide Selection of Ultra Monster-Themed Plush Toys and Merchandise
Of course, there’s also a wide variety of merchandise beyond the mofusand collaboration. The bright red Ultra Monster plush toys—with their irresistibly quirky expressions—are available in a large size for 4,400 yen (tax included) and as keychains for 1,540 yen (tax included).Wristbands and headbands are each 1,980 yen (tax included), and there are plenty of items perfect for everyday use. They’re so popular that the full-body costume-style plush was already sold out by the time of our visit.

You can even aim to complete the “All-Star” collection with the capsule toy machines
The store also features capsule toys produced by Kaiyodo, where you can enjoy Ultra Monster All-Star keychains for 300 yen per play. With a total of 15 varieties to choose from, the system requires you to purchase a special coin at the register before playing (cash is not accepted). Browsing the lineup and wondering which one you’ll get is a unique pleasure of this store.
