Is it true that there’s a quiet craze going on at Toranomon Hills? Hearing that rumor, I stopped by “DOLCE TACUBO Caffe” one weekday evening. It’s a sophisticated soft-serve ice cream shop run by “TACUBO,” a one-Michelin-star Italian restaurant.
A Michelin-starred restaurant makes soft-serve ice cream?! I’m so curious!
Ah, right. It’s a shop tucked away in the underground T-Market, directly connected to Toranomon Hills Station. It’s one of those “insider’s secret” kind of places.

DOLCE TACUBO Caffe is a dessert specialty shop run by the Michelin one-star Italian restaurant “TACUBO,” located inside T-Market on the second basement level of the Toranomon Hills Station Tower. It opened in November 2023.

A casual, standing-style café
The interior is designed primarily for takeout, with no chairs. It’s a very compact space where, if you choose to eat inside, standing room is limited to about four people. There’s a counter-like table next to the register, so you’ll enjoy your treats in a “stand-and-eat” style—rather than the typical “stand-and-drink” style.

Soft-serve ice cream featuring special monthly flavors
The soft-serve ice cream comes in two varieties: the classic milk flavor (¥800) and a monthly seasonal flavor. This time, I tried a mix of milk and mango.

Perhaps because it’s light and airy, the texture is fluffy, and the milk flavor is gentle and refreshing without being cloying. The mango mix was topped with grated lime zest, which added a refreshingly tart accent.

Grating lime zest for the topping—what a clever touch! It’s so interesting—and it smells great, too!
The cone is made of a double-layered waffle, so you can enjoy a crispy texture. Even if you usually leave part of the cone uneaten, you’ll want to eat every last bit of this one.

Be careful—it melts very quickly. They’ll give you a spoon, but if you don’t eat it fast, it’ll start dripping. If you want to take a photo, I recommend snapping it quickly.
In the kitchen, I could see the staff carefully preparing the soft-serve ice cream using a professional gelato machine.

Don’t miss the baked goods and gifts
In addition to soft-serve ice cream, they also offer a selection of baked goods such as financiers, canelés, puddings, and cream puffs (custard/tiramisu). The financiers are also available in gift boxes and, paired with drip-bag coffee, make the perfect souvenir.

Summary: If you want to taste Michelin-starred soft-serve ice cream at Toranomon Hills
The soft-serve ice cream made by a Michelin-starred shop had a more refined taste than I ever imagined! I’m also curious about the monthly rotating flavors!
Ah. It’s directly connected to the station, so it’s easy to get to—perfect for a quick stop. Next time, you should try a different seasonal flavor.
