What is "Shunji Cafe Pan-Esu"? |A world view café that is both "cool" and "tasty

Shunde Cafe Pan-Esu" is a bakery cafe by HINODE & Co.
The theme of this one-of-a-kind spot is "I want to make baked goods fashionable, too." It is a fusion of a retro café-style menu anda dreamy, cute visual space.

The cafe's landmark is the colorful container house seats that suddenly appear in the stylish Omotesando building.
Each seat is designed to look like a "miniature home," and when you make a reservation, you are given a key!
The design is full of playful touches, and is definitely recommended for first-time visitors.

My experience (1): Morning breakfast in a container house!

On a previous visit, I came to the restaurant just in time for the morning service, which starts at 9:00 am.
Since I was there, I chose the container house seating that I had longed for.

As I was being shown to my seat, I was surprised to be handed a key saying, "Here is the key to your seat.
I was thrilled by this little gesture and entered the restaurant feeling as if I were entering a secret base.

The inside is compact but comfortable, and it is just as cute from the outside as it is from the inside!
You can enjoy an extraordinary moment, just like having breakfast in a small house.

I had the "Moo Morning Plate" at this time.
The soft, fluffy, slightly sweet bread " Moo " is indeed the signature product of the popular bakery!
The portion was just right, and it was delicious enough to get me excited from the start of the morning.

My experience 2: Enjoying ribbon bread and cafe latte at the inside seat this time

Temporary Closure - image 9

I revisited this time around 11:00.
I visited just in time for the baking time of the popular menu item " Ribbon Bread " (11:15-11:30)!

Last time we were seated in a container house, so this time we chose to sit inside for a change.

The interior of the restaurant is also lovely, with pretty spaces everywhere you turn. The carefully selected displays and lighting are scattered here and there, creating a relaxing atmosphere that makes you want to take pictures.

Unfortunately, the "Ribbon Bread Plate" we were looking for was sold out, but we ordered a single item of Ribbon Bread (Hojicha flavor on this day) and a cafe latte.

Temporary Closure - image 13

Ribbon bread (hojicha flavor)

The ribbon bread of the day was hojicha (ro asted green tea) flavor.
It looks fluffy and round like a ribbon, and is palm-sized and very cute.

Temporary Closure - image 14

The taste was a perfect match between the aroma of hojicha and the sweetness of anko (red bean paste), and was more perfect than it looked.
Moist and fluffy, this is the power of a bakery...! We are convinced that this is what a bakery can do.

Cafe Latte

The café latte, a perfect match for the bread, is rich in aroma and has just the right amount of milkiness.
The fineness and temperature of the milk is perfect, and the barista's attention to detail can be felt in this cup.

A wide variety of sweets and coffee menus that are too cute to be true!

Pan-Esu's popularity is not limited to bread.

Temporary Closure - image 18
  • Showa-era retro pudding à la mode
  • Neapolitan, a coffee shop staple
  • Sparkling cream soda (perfect for otaku!)
  • Baked sweets with a well-calculated form

All of them are both "photo-worthy" and "tastily satisfying," making you want to order all of them.
The baked sweets in particular are perfect for those who want to "lift their spirits from the outside. They are truly "baked sweets in style.

The container house is pet-friendly and has a kotatsu (a table with a kotatsu over it)! No worries in the cold season!

A pleasant surprise is that terrace seating with a kotatsu is available in the container house during the winter!

Also, you can bring your dog on the terrace (but not inside the store).
The ability to relax with your dog in a stylish café is a rare treat in Tokyo.

Summary|"Shunji-kafé Pan-Esu" is a place that gives you a "special morning" and a "happy moment.

There are many cafes where bread is the main attraction, but there are very few that have everything that " Shundekafu Pan-Esu " has : space, presentation, taste, and appearance.

Temporary Closure - image 24

The first time you visit, you will have a special experience in a container house with a key.
You will discover new charms no matter how many times you visit, making this a cafe you will want to recommend.

Which flavor of ribbon bread will I find next?
I am looking forward to visiting again!
