I visited “THE DORAEMON STORE,” which recently opened on the 5th floor of Shibuya PARCO. While many people might think of a Doraemon store as being geared toward children, when I actually visited, I found that it wasn’t too childish—there were plenty of items that even adults could naturally use. Focusing mainly on fashion items and home decor, it was a fresh take on a Doraemon store, featuring a stylish selection of products.

The pure white Doraemon statue and the “Anywhere Door” frame that adorn the entrance
You’re greeted at the entrance by a pure white Doraemon statue — one you can only find here. Since Doraemon is so strongly associated with the color blue, this deliberately white statue makes a striking impression. Right next to it is a pink, frame-style “Anywhere Door,” making it a perfect photo spot. The walls are also decorated with illustrations that evoke the world of Fujiko F. Fujio’s works, creating an exciting atmosphere even before you step inside.
That pure white Doraemon is so fresh and cute!
Choosing white was such a clever move. They’re clearly aiming for Instagram-worthy photos.

A fashion and home goods section where even adults can naturally browse
Upon entering, you’re greeted by a refreshing space dominated by blue and white. Behind the racks of fashion items like T-shirts and tote bags is a section lined with home decor items such as pottery and mugs. It was impressive how you could browse the products as if you were in a curated boutique rather than a typical character goods store. While Doraemon motifs are subtly incorporated, the colors and designs are all chosen to blend naturally into the daily lives of adults.

The “One-of-a-Kind, Personalized Mugs & Keychains” Corner
In one corner of the store, there’s a section for mugs and keychains where you can create your own name by combining letters of the alphabet. The display of mugs lined with the word “THANKS” caught my eye, and it was fun to create my very own original gift. While they’re perfect as gifts for birthdays and anniversaries, I also recommend making one just for yourself.

An extensive lineup of figurines and plush toys
Of course, the store also boasts a well-stocked section for classic figures and plush toys. With a wide variety of items—from Tomica collaboration cars and soft vinyl figures to keychain-style plush toys—you’ll lose track of time just browsing through the selection. The shelves packed with plush toys of various sizes were a sight to behold—they were so cute that you’d want to display them not only as fan merchandise but also as little home decor items.
Seeing all those plush toys lined up like that is just too amazing!
When they’re lined up in different sizes like that, you just want them all. What a dilemma.

Items for everyday life, from skincare and towels to miscellaneous goods
What really surprised me were the collaboration products with the popular hair care brand BOTANIST. The lineup included everything from shampoo and conditioner to face masks—a full-fledged collection that went far beyond typical character merchandise. There’s also a wide selection of everyday essentials like pouches, socks, and checkered or polka-dot towels and handkerchiefs—perfect for incorporating into your daily life and great for gift-giving.

Don’t miss the tableware, travel goods, and merchandise from the latest movies
The tableware section, featuring rice bowls, teapots, and mugs with a Japanese aesthetic, is also well-stocked with elegant designs suitable for everyday use. The Doraemon & Dorami mug gift set seemed particularly popular.Furthermore, the selection was incredibly diverse, ranging from capsule toys featuring soft vinyl puppet mascots and a stationery section to travel goods like duffel bags and suitcases, as well as T-shirts and figurines in collaboration with the currently showing “Doraemon THE MOVIE 2026”—a lineup that promises new discoveries no matter how many times you visit.
