Located in Meiji-Jingumae, TRUNK(KITCHEN) is a restaurant on the ground floor of a hotel called TRUNK.
Since it is off the main street, the restaurant is located in a secluded area and offers a stylish space away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Elegant lunch on the terrace with nature
The terrace seating at TRUNK (KITCHEN) is a lush green space with a sense of openness where you can relax and enjoy your meal.
This time, we had the Poiled sea bream with homemade kelp butter Grenoble style on a weekend lunchtime. The crispy sea bream is softly tossed with homemade kelp butter, and the rich flavor of the butter and the freshness of the sea bream are a perfect match. It was an elegant and flavorful dish that brought out the delicious taste of the kelp.
The appetizer included a set of Spanish Jamon Serrano ham and a quinoa grains salad.
The terrace seating and view of the courtyard’s natural scenery make for a calming moment, even in the heart of the city. This seating is especially recommended on a sunny day.
Precious cuisine and sophisticated space
At TRUNK (KITCHEN), many of the ingredients are beautiful to look at and are carefully sourced from carefully selected producers in Japan. The charcoal-grilled 100% beef hamburger steak with black truffle tapenade (limited to 15 plates) seems to be particularly popular.
The restaurant is spacious and has a stylish yet warm atmosphere, making it suitable for a wide range of occasions, from casual occasions to special occasions.

The price range was around ￥2,500 – ￥4,000 for lunch on weekends. According to the website, the restaurant opens at 7:00 a.m., so I would like to visit next time for morning. And since they have a wide variety of menu items for dinner as well, this restaurant can be enjoyed from morning to night.
