I visited “CLOVE DINING ROOM,” located in the Jingumae area, just a short walk from Exit A2 of Omotesando Station. The restaurant is a three-story establishment: the first floor is a bakery, the basement is where you can enjoy the bread, and the second floor is the dining room. On this visit, I had a light lunch on the second floor, so I’ll share my experience here.

A three-level layout: first-floor bakery, basement, and second-floor dining room

CLOVE DINING ROOM opened on January 8, 2025. Since the first floor is a bakery, I highly recommend stopping by just for the bread. The basement is a space where you can eat the bread you bought on the first floor right there, and the second floor is a dining room where you can enjoy a full meal—it’s a unique three-level layout.
It’s such a treat to be able to enjoy both a bakery and a restaurant in the same building!
It’s convenient that you can choose where to go depending on your mood or the time of day.
The second-floor dining room has a calm atmosphere
The second floor features a dining room with a calm, blue-toned atmosphere. It offers a wide variety of seating options, including counter seats, sofa seats, and table seats. I was struck by how many female customers were enjoying lunch alone on weekdays. It has a welcoming atmosphere that makes it easy to visit even if you’re dining alone.

An easy-to-understand lunch menu with photos
Lunch hours are from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM (last order). The menu, complete with photos, showcases a wide range of options—from the Bakery Plate to rice and pasta dishes and desserts—including Pulled Pork Eggs Benedict, hamburgers unique to a bakery, and salmon and avocado tartare.

Time to eat! Rich Toast with Salted Whipped Cream and Red Bean Paste
Since I was looking for a light lunch that day, I ordered the “Rich Toast with Salted Whipped Cream and Red Bean Paste” (1,200 yen).Thick-sliced toast was generously topped with red bean paste and salty whipped cream. The cream’s subtle saltiness really brought out the sweetness of the red bean paste, making for a delicious combination. The sweet-and-salty balance, enhanced by drizzling maple syrup over it, was exquisite, and since it comes with a side salad, the portion size is just right for a light meal.

The combination of red bean paste and fresh cream—a fusion of Japanese and Western flavors—looks so delicious!
With the salty cream, it won’t be too sweet—I bet I could polish it off in no time.
Summary
CLOVE DINING ROOM is a unique spot with three distinct areas: a bakery, a light-meal space in the basement, and a dining room on the second floor. Just like the Rich Toast with salted whipped cream and red bean paste I tried this time, the menu offers a variety of options that are perfect for a light yet satisfying lunch.Since the first floor is a bakery, I highly recommend picking up some bread to take home as a souvenir. If you’re exploring cafes and restaurants in Omotesando, be sure to stop by.
If you’re looking to enjoy a leisurely lunch in Omotesando, I highly recommend CLOVE DINING ROOM!
If you pick up some bread on the first floor to take home, it’s like getting two treats in one go.
