Located on the first floor of CUTE CUBE Harajuku, a mixed-use commercial complex on Takeshita Street in Harajuku, is gashacoco, a specialty capsule toy store. It occupies the space formerly occupied by a Sanrio shop, and the vast sales floor is packed with gacha machines, creating a truly impressive sight.
Sanrio’s new store has opened in the former Alta building, which is larger than before. The gashacoco Harajuku store, which opened on the site left behind, features a wide and extensive lineup ranging from classics to the latest releases, including Sanrio, Chiikawa, Kirby, Chainsaw Man, Pan Dorobou, and Dragon Ball.

Sanrio characters cover the entire wall. Be sure to check out the NEW corner

The NEW Corner, located near the entrance, features new items that just arrived this week. The selection changes every time you visit, so even repeat customers never get bored.

The Sanrio corner features an entire wall filled with gacha machines. Major characters like Pompompurin, My Melody, Hangyodon, Kuromi, and Cinnamoroll are all lined up.

A gacha corridor stretching all the way to the back. Coin exchange machines and product search terminals are also available

The sales floor is much deeper than expected. Gacha machines are packed tightly on both sides of the aisle, and just checking them all out takes quite a while.

If you’re looking for a specific gacha machine, the “COCO” product search terminal is handy. Search for a character name on the touchscreen to instantly see where it is in the store.

There are two money changers located inside the store. They accept 10,000-, 5,000-, and 1,000-yen bills, so you don’t need to bring change. Smoking, eating, and drinking are prohibited inside the store, and pets are not allowed. Multilingual signs are posted, so international tourists can shop with peace of mind.
