What is Ron Herman Cafe? Located inside a popular boutique
I’d been curious about Ron Herman Café for ages, but for some reason, I never seemed to make it there. One weekday afternoon, I finally paid my first visit—and it was so cozy that I actually regretted not coming sooner. In this honest review, I’ll share the charms of Ron Herman Café with you.

Ron Herman is a Los Angeles-based lifestyle brand. The Ron Herman Sendagaya store in the Kita-Sando area features the “Ron Herman Cafe,” which perfectly captures the brand’s aesthetic.
Step through the warm, wood-framed exterior, and you’ll find yourself in an American country-style space filled with a mix of vintage furniture and antique knick-knacks. Can you feel that sense of wonder—as if you’ve wandered into a stylish mansion rather than just a café?
Weekdays are your best bet. Weekends are guaranteed to be packed and have long lines.
Since it’s popular on Instagram and other platforms, long lines can form on weekends. When I actually visited on a weekday, I was able to walk right in without waiting, but when I passed by on a weekend, I was surprised to see an incredibly long line.
The best time to go is during the week, from lunchtime through the afternoon. You can relax and enjoy your time sitting by the window.
The spacious interior has a different atmosphere in each section.

The interior is divided into several zones, each with its own distinct atmosphere. Near the entrance, you’ll find a café counter and a casual dining area. As you move further in, a cozy lounge space centered around a stone fireplace comes into view. With gray sofas, chandeliers, and weathered dark wood flooring… it feels just like a country house in LA.

Additionally, the store houses a stand-alone corner for a separate brand called “Cafe Legs #3.” It has an American diner vibe, which is also quite nice.

Place your order at the register. They’ll bring it to your table.

Orders are placed and paid for at the register. Once you’ve paid, you can sit wherever you like and wait. A numbered plate is placed on your table, and the staff will make sure to bring your order right to you. When I paid the bill, I received a cute lemon sticker. It was a nice little surprise.
The display case lined with cakes and donuts is adorable

From Basque cheesecake and lemon tart to sugar donuts and scones, the sweets in the display case are all so tempting it’s hard to choose. The food menu also features salads, pasta, and even gluten-free pancakes.
The carrot cake is absolutely exquisite. The fact that it’s not too sweet is a big plus.

This time, I ordered the carrot cake (¥650) and iced coffee. It’s a moist cake topped with cream cheese frosting, and the natural sweetness of the carrots spreads gently throughout. The fact that it’s not too sweet is just right, and it paired perfectly with the coffee. I received a lemon sticker when I paid the bill.

And one of Ron Herman Café’s special touches is that they draw hand-drawn-style illustrations on the plate with chocolate sauce. This time, it was a sunset-inspired design, and that alone makes it perfect for photos.
With Wi-Fi available, it’s also perfect as a workspace café.

The window seats offer a view of greenery and an open atmosphere, with soft natural light creating an environment that makes you want to stay for hours. The Wi-Fi signal is strong, and I saw many people working with their MacBooks open. It’s an excellent spot for working.
